Finally the snow arrived!

Yes! After weeks of slush, sun and high temperatures, Frau Holle finally delivered the white gold to Silvretta Montafon. With new fallen snow all the way down to the valley there was indeed happy faces around when we woke up in Gaschurn. We arrived 8.15 sharp by the Versettla Bahn to catch the first gondolas up and get some cold and fresh winter tracks under our planks! During the morning we found good snow all over Nova, and despite enjoying the arrival of 20 centimeters fresh, we captured some quick pictures as well.

As temperatures rose after noon, we took a well-deserved lunch at Nova Stoba before the last runs of the day. Hopefully Frau Holle will continue to deliver the goods the next weeks so the base can get back to decent level. I’m returning to Copenhagen tomorrow but are looking forward to come back in end of January for even more deep turns!

Get out there and enjoy!
