The summer solstice is traditionally celebrated around the longest day of the year
The summer solstice is traditionally celebrated at the weekend around the longest day of the year. It is also a spectacular event in Montafon: at nightfall, volunteers build midsummer bonfires on numerous mountain peaks, creating the impression that the mountains are ablaze. The fascinating spectacle has a long tradition and nowadays the Kapellrestaurant restaurant high above Schruns is a particularly good location for following the action. Under good weather conditions you can enjoy food and drinks at the sun terrace of Kapellrestaurant. No reservation needed.
