Update corona virus 03/10/2020

Measures taken concerning corona virus
Tuesday, 10. March 2020 at 17:03 Time

First things first: There are currently no corona virus cases in the Montafon and Oberland region.

We offer you sensational slope conditions, in the last few hours we even got some snow again. Guests and locals may enjoy the ski area without any restrictions. Lift, Cable cars and slopes may be used as usual and the mountain restaurants, bars, Intersport shops, hotels, ski schools, etc. are regularly open.

What measures are taken?

Although the Montafon is still not affected and there is no reason not to go skiing so far, we take the following measures:

  • Disinfection: Door handles, toilet facilities and public areas are frequently disinfected and toilet facilities are checked every hour.
  • Feeder lifts: In order to give you more space, our gondolas will only be filled partially.
  • Optimizing the distribution of guests: Coming sunday all feeder lifts open at 8:00 am so that we can avoid waiting times and queues.
  • We recommend: washing your hands regularly (toilet facilities in cable car stations and mountain restaurants), using disinfectants on site and paying contactless (by card) at the cash desks.

You can find more tips and information here.

Why are events canceled anyway?

The Austrian government presented its new package of measures this afternoon. Among other things, no open-air events with more than 500 visitors and no indoor events with more than 100 persons may be held until the end of March. Accordingly, we have to cancel the DJ Ötzi summit tour on March 21st and postpone it until next year.

We will keep you informed about the offer in the Silvretta Montafon ski area on our website and on the Silvretta Montafon Instagram and Facebook channel.
