On the weekend of February 27th and 28th, 2021, it's time to say goodbye, because the Valisera Bahn will do its last laps. Take the opportunity to take the cult cable car to the ski area one last time and review the experiences you share with it. After 40 years of rolling, rattling and shaking, the Valisera Bahn has done its job and is entering its well-deserved retirement. She had a colorful life full of happy people, unforgettable encounters and exciting transports!
Ready for a new chapter
The connection between mountain and valley. About history and future. Of man and nature. From Hochjoch and Nova. From outside and inside Montafon. Of young and old. Re-experiencing connections: everyone who visits the new Silvretta Park Montafon from December 2021 will do so.
What remains and what is to come
The locations of the valley, middle and mountain stations as well as the route remain the same. The stations will be rebuilt and the gondolas will be replaced by the new D-Line from Doppelmayr. They include ten seats with heated seats and the twist-in system with indoor ski mounts - a significant improvement in quality compared to the old lift. At the same time as the renovation of the Valisera Bahn, an underground car park, an Intersport shop, a ski school office, a hotel and gastronomic units will be built.
Experience connection in a new way
The new area around the Valisera Bahn will not be a cable car valley station in the traditional sense. With the Silvretta Park Montafon we are creating a place with quality of stay, where you can meet and feel good and get everything you need for an eventful day on the mountain.

We are full of anticipation for the implementation of the new, eventful Silvretta Park Montafon and the comfortable Valisera Bahn. Despite the difficult framework conditions, thanks to our owner, the Bank for Tyrol and Vorarlberg (BTV), we can boldly invest in the future. A confident restart into the winter season 2021/22 is guaranteed. Soon we will experience a new connection together.
