Regionality
We maintain a close and good cooperation with Montafon farmers and are willing to pay more for high quality meat. Before each winter season, we buy whole animals from farmers in the region and have them slaughtered and processed at the Salzgeber butchery in Tschagguns. The regional meat purchase is not only appreciated by our guests, it also saves CO2 compared to purchasing from wholesalers.
Cheese and dairy products (with the exception of UHT milk and coffee cream) are purchased from the Vorarlberg Milch cooperative in Feldkirch, which works exclusively with Vorarlberg farmers.
The beer in our drafts comes from the Fohrenburg brewery in Bludenz, which has been brewing Vorarlberg beer specialties since 1881.
