Insider Tip: Hike to the Alpguesalpe

This wonderfully located circular route takes you through the untouched nature of the European nature reserve Verwall. The starting point is Grasjoch cable car mountain station. From there you hike over the Fredakopf to Alpguesalpes, along the Alpgues lakes, across a part part of the Wormser Höhenweg and back to the starting point or to the Grasjoch hut.

Duration: 4 hours

The 10 most beautiful hiking routes in Silvretta Montafon

A leisurely hike from hut to hut, a multi-hour tour through the mountains or a sweat-inducing summit conquest? The Montafon region provides the perfect route for every lover of nature. Check out the ten most beautiful hiking routes and plan your day in the mountains! 

Good to know: Every single one of these routes can also be found on the hiking map. You’ll receive the map for free at all cable car ticket offices. Especially convenient: You can tear off your favourite route and bring it along for your hike in your backpack or pocket!

1.  Kropfen glade route 

Please note: The Hochjoch cable car will not be in operation in summer 2021, but we offer a free shuttle bus to Gasthaus Kropfen. So after the hike you can comfortably take the shuttle bus from Gasthaus Kropfen into the valley to Schruns.

Kropfen glade route is a unique panorama route, which starts at Kapell restaurant – one of the most beautiful scenic viewpoints of the Montafon region!

2. Innerkapell mountain hike 

The best time of year for this hike? When the first alpine roses start to bloom at the beginning of June. The route leads you all the way to the Innerkapell alp.

3. Seebligasee hike
