In winter

St. Gallenkirch and Gortipohl offer direct access to the Silvretta Montafon ski region. The Valisera, Grasjoch and Garfrescha cable cars take winter sports enthusiasts quickly and comfortably to the Montafon mountain world.

Wide carving pistes, sunny leisure slopes and a wide variety of ski routes mean you can do something different every day. Vorarlberg's longest illuminated night-time toboggan run, lit trails and extensive winter hiking routes guarantee off-piste fun during the winter season.

The villages are characterized by their typical Montafon-style houses and baroque churches. The village centre has a new playground with adjoining café, local amenities and restaurants.

In summer

Many walking and hiking trails start in the village of St. Gallenkirch and Gortipohl before heading out across flowering meadows and shaded forests to fantastic viewing platforms and typical Montafon-style mountain lodges. Numerous guided hikes bring you closer to the beautiful natural and cultural landscape.

Thanks to its bike base camp, St. Gallenkirch is also the starting point for daily guided mountain bike and E-bike tours run by the Aktivclub Montafon activity club and Intersport Montafon.

St. Gallenkirch-Gortipohl is a particularly family-friendly location thanks to its all-weather Aquarena swimming pool, with its four-lane flume and play area for children, to name but a few activities.

In Garfrescha, a treasure hunt with Count Hugo, the mountain ghost, awaits the little ones, while the comfortable and nostalgic Garfrescha cable car transports you to the idyllic village of Almsdorf.
