Enjoyment with a view

With its comprehensive extension and renovation, the Kapellrestaurant is opening a whole new chapter. On the ground floor, the new ski bar impresses with a panoramic façade that can be opened when the weather is fine. Above it is a spacious terrace – a place to enjoy sunny moments with a view of the mountains.

The existing restaurant, the Rotisserie, is also getting a makeover: in addition to the coveted seats by the panoramic windows, the fireplace lounge is a central feature that offers a pleasant atmosphere and alpine cosiness, especially in the winter months. The room concept is complemented by two parlours – the Jagdstube and Bergstube – which provide an intimate setting for private events or undisturbed gatherings.

Another highlight on the upper floor is the new wine bar & lounge ‘Hanglage’ – here, selected wines meet culinary specialities accompanied by casual sounds and a view that gives you goosebumps.

1,850 metres above everyday life

Hanglage

At Hanglage, it's all about enjoying good food together. The focus is on sharing dishes – small, exquisite dishes to share, sample and combine. These are accompanied by cool drinks, from creative signature cocktails to classics with a twist. But the main attraction is the wines selected by our sommelier Lisa – from regional gems to international highlights. In short: at Hanglage, we love it casual, sociable, but above all tasteful.

And the name? Pretty weird, right?
In viticulture, Hanglage stands for the best conditions – sun, views, enjoyment. That's exactly what we combine here on the mountain: a bar with wine at its heart, beats in your ears and an atmosphere that invites you to linger

Only here on our Hanglage

Where wine takes root

In the midst of the Alpine scenery, a new place for connoisseurs and wine lovers is being created: the Hanglage. The new wine bar at 1,850 metres combines wines full of character with family ties to the region. Two selected winemakers, whose family roots reach back to the Montafon, bring not only taste but also a sense of home to the glass with their wines.
Whether it's a sundowner with a glass of rosé, a winemaker's evening with personal accompaniment or a cosy stopover on a day of skiing: here you can taste not only the vines, but also the roots.

Weingut Schneider Wein

Uwe Schneider

Uwe is a winemaker who lives with his wife Daniela Gantner in Schruns and runs the Schneider Wein winery in Graubünden, Switzerland. "Graubünden is kissed by the muse – it's the perfect place to make Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Many winemakers from elsewhere envy us for this," he tells us. In addition to the wines that Uwe produces and sells under his own name, he also presses many private individuals' personal wines – even in small quantities.

Weingut Dietrich vulgo Tischler

Claudia Dietrich-Wekerle

Together with her husband Franz Dietrich and their two sons Martin and Franz-Harald Dietrich, the family runs the winery in Styria. They attach great importance to natural cultivation and careful cellar work in order to produce wines of the highest quality.
Claudia is the daughter of the former mayor of Schruns, Harald Wekerle, which underlines her deep roots in the region.

Aiming high pays off

The next photovoltaic system is being installed on the roof of our new restaurant, with 175 modules and a total output of around 80 kWp. In contrast to our PV systems in the valley, the systems on the mountain have a higher efficiency—particularly due to cooler ambient temperatures, higher radiation intensity, and reflection from the snow. Fronius technology from Austria and installation by our long-standing partner SST from Vorarlberg guarantee sustainable and reliable implementation.

Local value creation – 90% of contracts awarded to regional companies

A strong sign of togetherness

The renovation of the Kapellrestaurant is an example of how Silvretta Montafon is working with regional partners to create something lasting – for guests and locals alike. It is a sign that economic success and regional ties are not a contradiction – on the contrary: they are the foundation for sustainable growth and a vibrant, future-proof tourism region. Because the future of the valley will be most successful if we shape it together.
