Burg via ferrata
The year-round via ferrata.

Ascent: 15 minutes
To reach this via ferrata, head to the Versettla cable car summit station, then follow walking route 10 “Gipfelweg Madrisella” [Madrisella summit route]. After 10 minutes, turn right and head towards the summit. The access route snakes its way around the avalanche towers.

This via ferrata is well suited to families and beginners, giving them an opportunity to practice safety techniques. The route takes you at fairly low levels with a gentle ascent to the ledge. The view over Heimspitze, Madrisella and Versettla is spectacular, while behind them, in the second row, the 3000 m high giants of the Silvretta group sit enthroned.
Descent: 30 minutes
Once you have completed the via ferrata, the Versettla cable car summit station is just 30 minutes away. Don’t forget to plan a stop-off on the terrace of Nova Stoba after conquering the via ferrata.
Passage is also possible in winter, albeit only recommended for experienced winter mountain climbers: Difficulty level: C.
